Praia Del Rey

 

Just an hour to the northwest of Lisbon lies the magnificent Praia d'el Rey course set in a wonderful location overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and over to the Berlenga Islands. The course is designed in two loops of nine holes and Robinson has made great use of the natural lie of the land. A number of the holes offer links style challenges as they run along the coastline whilst the rest make the most of the undulating inland landscape.

 

The opening holes head towards the ocean and then turn inland at the 4th. With nine bunkers to negotiate and a narrow, uphill fairway, the 9th provides a challenging finish to the front nine. The back nine is memorable for the quality of each of the holes with the huge uphill 17th at 570m testing even the best of golfers!

 

This course is definitely worth making the effort to get to and is one of Europe's best!

	Sana Silvercoast Hotel - Golf & Gourmet (13km) Located in Caldas da Rainha, 15 minutes from Royal Óbidos, the Sana Silvercoast Hotel offers a wide variety of restaurants, bars and shopping, within a 5 minute walk from the hotel. We have selected this hotel for our popular ' Golf & Gourmet' experience in this region.
